Overview

The private tour starts from Bacino Orseolo located behind Piazza San Marco and continues along the smaller canals of astonishing beauty such as Rio dei Barcaroli, where Mozart’s house is located, and Rio dell’Ovo until it reaches the Grand Canal.

From here, on the right we can see the magnificence of the Rialto Bridge and on the left important buildings such as Ca’ Farsetti, head office of the city hall, and Palazzo Grimani, the largest building overlooking the Grand Canal and head office of the Court of Appeal.

The tour continues to Rio San Luca where we can see Palazzo Manin, residence of the last doge of Venice Ludovico Manin, now home to the Bank of Italy. The tour ends at the same boarding point.

The only way to see Venice.

When we arrived for our Gondola ride the tides were too high and they asked us to come back later which we did. They were very accommodating upon our return and we had a great ride through the canals.
Wonderful experience

Excellent! We had a guitar player and a vocalist on our gondola and they both did a wonderful job. It really completed our Venetian experience, as this is what I’ve always pictured when thinking of Venice!
Good ol Gandola Ride

A lovely time! It was a quiet and pleasant ride. We showed up a little late and had to wait for the line to do lessen, so show up on time! I thought this would be a touristy thing to do (it is) but it was really fun and relaxing.
A one of a kind city worth seeing Once.

Venice has some very beautiful parts and is definitely a bucket list item. the gondola tour also a bucket list thing but generally don't expect the movie experience. it felt like the romance had been swapped out to the transactional.
An experience you have to do

An experience you have to do but there isn't really any need to pre-book as there are so many and they are always available. Our guide was friendly and gave us snippets of information on several landmarks. We entered the grand canale and saw Rialto Bridge to our right but only for several seconds before we headed away and then back down the narrow waters. Overall its an expensive experience but one I would say is just about worth it.
Lovely ride, but not as long as paid for

We went for this provider as lots of others had more negative feedback. Unfortunately, our experience only confirmed what only a few others had said about this one. The gondola ride only lasted about 20 minutes, even though it was supposed to take 30 mins (one third less!). Those 20 minutes were lovely and we really enjoyed the experience, but it just leaves a niggling after-taste if you feel taken advantage of. We knew the whole experience is very poor value for money and just one of those things you have to accept. But negotiating the price with the gondolieri on the day might have been better (we didn't want to run the risk of having to wait or not getting a ride and hence pre-booked here).
Could be better

The ride was nice and took you through many smaller canals which were pretty. My only complaint is that the gondolas leaving from this area leave so close together and you're constantly staring at the boat infront of you.
