Reviews

Yay for Murano

Absolutely recommend this tour to anyone that appreciates glass blowing and Murano Glass. Nice boat ride over to Murano and the ample time to appreciate the glass and shop after the demonstration and then another quick boat ride over to Burano where it’s nice and quiet. Plenty of time to enjoy the island or grab a bite or shop. Then back to to Venice with another quick boat ride. At first the 9:30 - 14:30 timeframe seemed quite long, but I actually felt it could be a bit longer.
First time in Venice, must do

Must do in Venice, great tour of islands and access to glass factory deminstrating the magic of the craft. Family friendly and historical walking tour also included, great time.
Best way to experience the outer islands of Venice!

Excellent tour guide, learned alot about the area in addition to the wonderful glass blowing experience and time on the water.

Murano, watching a master of Glass Blowing make a horse in a few minutes, then in Burano, meeting this lovely Lady that does hand made lace, and watching her do it so masterfully, it was one of the best tours I have ever had, thanks
Great tour

This is a great tour to Murano and Burano. Our guide Cathy was excellent. She was very informative with a great mix of some personal stories and history. The glass of Prosecco was a lovely bonus
A Delightful Excursion

This was a very enjoyable excursion to get away from the crowds of Venice. We enjoyed the glass blowing demonstration and the chance to explore Burano with some free time. This was the highlight of our Venice trip!
Awsome experience

A great way to appreciate how the different islands have different roles.
Despite it being a wet day, the boat trip and the guide were fabulous.
The brief glassblowing demo in Murano was interesting but didn’t appreciate the glass staff hanging over us all the way through the showroom ‘encouraging’ us to buy (20% discount).
Burano was pretty and the community was brought to life by our guide. Would have liked to have seen actual lacemaking but lace shop guy was lovely.
On the way back it was nice to spot some wildlife on the mud flats in the lagoon. We spotted egrets, cormorants and waders.
Interesting glass demonstration.

The guide was knowledgeable and fun. Boat ride was pleasant The glass making demonstration was intriguing and the items were beautiful. The lace making was disappointing

However the glass items were very expensive. Not enough time in Burano. We went back later by vaporetto (water bus) and took more time shopping and got better deals.
Skip the tour-Take a boat to Burano for the day

Murano was a waste of time. The glass blowing demonstration was so basic with high pressure sales afterwards. Why not send a catalog before the show to give people time to look at pieces? Not a good time to buy. Also, gave us the high pressure sales tactic of going out of business. Wish we had skipped it.
