Overview

In the foothills of the Alps, the area between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene is the toast of the Veneto. The vine-draped hillsides hereabouts produce prosecco, a dry, crisp white wine made in spumante (bubbly), frizzante (sparkling) and still varieties. Visit local wineries for tastings to see what all the fizz is about.

Meet your guide in Venice and proceed to the Prosecco region comfortably seated in your private minivan.

Enter a famous winery, visit its vineyard and cellar and learn the secrets of Prosecco wine.

Enjoy an abundant food tasting with local cheese and cold cuts and toast with your friends and family with 4 different Prosecco.

The journey from Venice to the Prosecco land is around 75 minutes for each way.

Very relaxing and beautiful trip. Our Driver, Paolo, was very accommodating. My husband and I had just been married and were exhausted from the our Wedding and recent travels. Paolo let us relax in the car only pointing out historical scenes when he saw that we weren't sleeping. When arriving at Colesel, we were immediately greeted with a cappuccino and directions to the bathroom. The tour was very informative and left time to take amazing photos with their beautiful landscape. Paolo was so sweet and took pictures of us during the tour so that we could enjoy the trip, sending us the photos that night! We got to try multiple types of Prosecco, learning about different flavors and their uniqueness. Highly recommend! My husband and I bought 3 bottles and are ordering more to be shipped to America.

This tour was SPECTACULAR!!!!! Honestly, when we booked it we didn't realize it was a private tour. It was just the two of us, our guide Paolo and the best Prosecco Wine Cellar and Vineyard in the Prosecco region of Valdobbiadene!!! It was a little bit of a splurge, but it was well worth it.

Paolo, our guide contacted us the day before the tour to confirm the meeting place. We used Apple Maps (the only way to find your way around Italy) and easily found the meeting place! Paolo met us right on time. We hadn't had time for breakfast, so he bought us a cappuccino and panini - such a nice man! We then departed in his car for the one and a half hour trip north of Venice to the Valdobbiadene region, where the best Prosecco is made! The time flew and we travelled through small towns and chatted with Paolo the entire time. We learned so much from him! More interesting information about Venice and the Prosecco region than we would have learned on any other tour. We asked lots of questions and Paolo shared lots of additional information about that part of the country he was proud to call his home.

We arrived at La Casa Vecchia and were greeted by it's fourth generation owner, Santo Stefano. He gave us a private tour of the Vineyard, wine cellar and the area where the prosecco is made. Some of the vines at La Casa Veccia are 140 years old. They hand harvest the grapes - no machinery. Also, no pesticides or chemicals are used in growing the grapes. We then had a tasting - 4 proseccos paired with delicious meats and cheeses. Not your typical tasting, full pours of each prosecco, enjoyed outside overlooking the vineyard. We spent a full 2 hours at La Casa Vecchia and we didn't want to leave. We shipped home a case of prosecco and 3 magnums - yes, it was that good!

Paolo then drove us back to Venice. Getting to see the small towns that make up the region was so enjoyable. Paolo gave us a list of places we should not miss before leaving Venice - none of them were on the typical tourist list - and we enjoyed each of his recommendations. We especially loved grabbing some cicheti (small bites) and prosecco at Dai Zemei! Paolo was the perfect guide and host for this tour. He even gifted us with some photos he had taken of us at La Casa Vecchia.

This tour was the perfect way to end a perfect 2 weeks in Italy. We would highly recommend this tour, and especially Paolo, to anyone!!!

What a fantastic trip!! Paolo was absolutely amazing! Loved his insights & advice about Venice. He was incredibly thoughtful. The vineyard was beautiful & Prosecco even better. Can’t til our wine meets us back in the states.
