Wonderful evening in Venice

Our tour group ended up with about 10 people and our guide was Christiano. It was a very entertaining evening and Christiano did an amazing job telling us about each stop, the food and Venice along the way. Our first stop was outside a popular cicchetti osteria where we got to try several kinds of meat and seafood ciccheti on bruschetta and an aperol spritz. Our next stop was inside for some fried cicchetti – my favorite was the pumpkin – and some excellent wine. The final stop was at a restaurant for a full dinner with local Venetian specialties including a wonderful pesto risotto and more excellent wine. After the food, Christiano took us to board a gondola. Getting to ride a gondola at night was a special experience that we will always remember. I highly recommend this tour especially for your first night in Venice!
Amazing & Authentic Venice Food Tour

Having been to Venice a few years ago, we'd already done the main checklist of landmarks with Take Walks 'Venice in a Day Tour' and were excited to go beyond some of the usual tourist spots.

We love Take Walks tours and this seemed like a perfect choice - trying new food and drinks, PLUS the 30-minute included gondola ride at the end (they are pretty pricey). It was so much fun! We went to 2 more 'cicchetti' style bars, trying local wine and happy hour eats. The final location was more of a 'trattoria' where we had more meal-style dishes. We definitely did not leave hungry!

Our guide was fabulous and the small group we were with (3 of us, plus 7 others) quickly bonded and had a blast together.

The gondola ride at the end of the evening was beautiful - you have to do it at least once in Venice! Our gondolier was not the friendliest (no way at all Take Walks fault) but we enjoyed ourselves nonetheless.

A great way to see some of the authentic eateries and dishes in Venice, beyond the tourist-frequented spots!
Don't Miss This Tour!

We had a blast doing this tour with "Kristina with a K" … in fact, Kristina turned out to be the best tour guide we had during our three weeks in Italy and Greece. She was fun, informative, and completely into food! She also took the time at the end of the tour to advise us on places to go and things to see during our visit to Venice (and thank you, Kristina, for the tip to go to the top of the Fondaco dei Tedeschi for the spectacular views!).
Kristina took us to Rialto Market and several little eateries filled with locals to sample the food and wine as they do. The experience gave us confidence to visit places on our own and helped us enjoy the rest of our vacation in Italy even more than we would have.
Grazie mille!
Perfect Food Tour in Venice

The food, wine and guide were just perfect for this short walk through the Rialto and Cannaregio. You walk away full until dinner! We loved the extra time to browse through the outdoor markets too. Would recommend this tour to friends.
Not worth price

We felt we could have done what we did with the group better if we were alone. Gondola ride was packed with people. We couldn’t move or we would tip. The food was okay. We wish we spent the money to go eat and do a private gondola ride alone..also I am not sure why I don’t have the option to write a review on their website
