It was definitely a private tour. Mrs. Ketty picked us up and brought us to Murano. She then showed us how to use the ferry system at end. The glass demonstration was fun and just us.

Gabriele took good care of us. He picked us up on time at our hotel, was very informative about the history of Venice, and spoke perfect English. His recommendation to also go to Burano was one of the highlights of our 11 days in Italy. Watching the glass blowing process was very entertaining as well.

Pickup was convenient and flexible, the private water taxi ride lasted about 15 minutes and we were greeted at Murano by Fabio, an employee at the factory we toured. Massimo gave an enjoyable demonstration of glass blowing and shaping and then we were led into the very impressive showroom. Fabio stayed with us throughout. I was looking for a specific piece within a certain budget and was able to negotiate with Fabio and the artist to have what I was looking for made for me. It was all very pleasant. After leaving the showroom, our tour guide Ketty walked us through the streets of Murano. Her knowledge of the history of the area was impressive and it kept us engaged. After a water taxi ride back Ketty continued to walk us towards our hotel and give us more interesting history. Overall it was a very informative and enjoyable experience and I would definitely recommend it
