Unique tour!

A unique tour and definitely a one of a kind experience! We had such a fun time learning to row one handed like the Venetian. So much so that my 7 year old wants to grow up to be a gondola operator:) Great class, a nice way to spend a few hours and really appreciate Venetian history.
Authentic experience off the beaten track

Stefano gave us a great lesson! My 14-year-old daughter is a rower. She loved it and so did I. The location gets you off the beaten track, where you can practice your stroke in uncrowded canals. Stefano taught us the verbal calls that the gondoliers do as they are approaching canal intersections. We are still using them around the house! Thanks for a great expereince.
Highly Recommended - Active, Peaceful and No Crowds

This was a great introduction to Venice and very nice “off the beaten path” activity. The guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about Venice’s boats and boating traditions and also a very patient teacher. We had plenty of opportunity to row our own boat, and we were lucky enough to have the guide’s dog accompanying us!
Tourism done right - Highly Rec

This was a favorite Venice experience - highly recommend! It's a local association trying to keep the old skills alive by teaching locals and lucky for us visitors, too. Often it's difficult to meet locals in such a tourist intense location but this was a nice venue. The three of us shared a sanpierota (more stable than a narrow gondola) with Luca our instructor so we could enjoy being together and pepper Luca with our questions. Nobody will paddle away an expert but they will learn some of its history and appreciate the great skill it takes the gondoliers to negotiate the traffic in the Grand Canal.
The location is away from the tourist area so enjoy a stroll there and definitely eat in the local restaurants - way better food and cheaper prices.
Don’t miss this!

This was the best activity we could have done in Venice. Our guide Emiliano was fantastic. He gave us a true understanding of the spirit of the true Venetians. We spent time
Learning to row in beautiful quiet canals and got the best photos!
