We had the most amazing experience- Luca and his family were stupendous guides. We were warmly welcomed and my children were allowed to experience glass blowing first hand. What a day!
Excellent tour! Beautiful Murano glass and Burano lace! Wonderful tour guide!

This tour was a lot of fun! Our tour guide Luca (also the founder of ShoMe Venice tours) was WONDERFUL! He was enthusiastic and enjoys sharing the history of Venice, Murano and Burano. Having him show us around was like having a good friend take you to his favorite spots to see in his hometown. (I wish we had booked other tours with him!) On Murano we were able to see the master Luca Vidal create a work of brought tears to my eyes! Burano is picturesque and Luca brings it to life by telling the history of of island and lacemaking. Lacemaking is truly an art and one to be treasured. We had lunch at Trattoria al Gatto Nero da Ruggero where we were warmly welcomed by the owner/chef and his wife and son/manager like friends (because of Luca) and ate fabulous Risotto alla Buranella. Luca then surprised us with traditional Burano cookies! We left the tour having made wonderful memories and feeling as though we made some Venetian friends. Thank you Luca!

Just the best tour of the trip, starting with the tour guide to the host and of coarse the wonderful workers that make the magic happen!
The highlight of Venice!

The absolute highlight of our Venice stay! We were met by Luca, whose family has owned the glass factory we toured for hundreds of years. We were taken by private water taxi where we received a one on one tour. We were the only ones on the tour! Fascinating to watch the glass masters at work and got to experience the master experimenting with a new design. If you have the chance, book this tour! You will not be disappointed!
An really interesting morning!

Giorgia was our guide and met us at our hotel - she was super friendly, helpful and very informative. We took a water taxi with her to Murano and had a little potted history talk on the way. We were greeted at the factory and went inside to watch a Glass Master at work. We were the only family there - very much felt like a private tour. It was amazing to watch him work and made a beautiful vase within minutes. He then went in to make a glass horse - it was incredible! We had the opportunity to wander around the showroom with no obligation to make a purchase - but I did! Some beautiful handcrafted glasses that, according to the gentleman talking to me, would need a hammer to break it. He then demonstrated by hitting the glass into a hard surface! It’s very expensive to buy but there are some beautiful pieces to see or buy if you wish. Giorgia then travelled with us back to our original location. It was a very personal service and I would highly recommend - it was a lovely morning trip. Both of my girls (11 and 14) really enjoyed it.
